Emeritus CEO
Maria Garciaz has been a passionate advocate for underserved and underrepresented communities throughout her career. Her leadership in organizations like NeighborWorks Salt Lake, Westside Leadership Institute, the University of Utah, and particularly grassroot youth groups, have connected resources and opportunities needed for success. Through her initiatives, she has empowered Latino families and youth by improving access to education, affordable housing, and community leadership opportunities, ensuring that these communities have a voice in the development of their neighborhoods. Her tireless dedication to supporting community and generational outcomes is inspiring.
